The First Supermoto Wheelset for the Sur Ron Light Bee 2 (LBX2)
The Sur Ron Light Bee 2 is new enough that the aftermarket has barely started. We are changing that: RegenRacing now has the first supermoto wheelset available anywhere for the LBX2, open for preorder.
What a supermoto conversion does
Supermoto means smaller-diameter rims wearing street tires instead of knobbies. On pavement the difference is dramatic. The bike turns harder, the front holds a line under braking instead of washing, and power goes down cleanly rather than through a squirming knobby.
It also lowers the bike slightly and changes how the gearing feels, because a smaller rolling diameter effectively shortens your gearing. Most riders find that welcome on road, where the stock setup runs out of usable acceleration sooner than it should.
What it does not do
It does not make the bike better everywhere. Street tires on loose dirt are genuinely worse than what you removed. If your riding is mostly trails, this is not your upgrade. Plenty of owners run both sets and swap.
Check brake clearance
Any wheel change can affect how rotors and calipers sit, particularly if you have already upgraded your brakes. Worth confirming before you fit rather than after. Our brake upgrade guide covers how those parts interact.
Fitment on a new platform
This matters more than usual right now. The Light Bee 2 is not a facelifted LBX, and parts made for earlier Sur Ron models should not be assumed to fit it. Everything we have confirmed for the bike lives in Light Bee 2 parts.
Preorder
The LBX2 supermoto wheelset is open for preorder now, reserving a set from the first run. Full specifications will be published on the product page before shipping begins.
